3D Scanning Protocols

The goal of these protocols is to allow archaeologists to effectively scan lithic artifacts using different 3D scanning methods. The StyroStone protocol deals with the digitization and post-processing of large batches of small-sized lithic artifacts using micro-computed tomography (micro-CT). The MicroStone protocol does instead present a detailed step-by-step pipeline to effectively scan lithics using the Artec Micro.

Archaeologist

My research focuses on the earliest stages of the Upper Paleolithic across Europe and the Levant. I am currently investigating several Aurignacian and Ahmarian sites to understand the intricate relationships between archaeological patterns, cultural transmission, demic spread, and technological convergence.
